COVID-19 Response Plan

The safety and well-being of both our Customers, Workforce and Management Team is always our top priority. Rest assured that we are actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are taking precautionary measures to help keep our communities safe.


As an essential service providers to our customers, we are committed to implementing and maintaining best practices to prevent the spread of disease so that we can be there when you need us. To help with prevention, we continuously update our Pandemic and Emergency plan by keeping informed of all changes and taking the following precautionary measures to protect all our Customers, Stakeholders, Workforce and their Families.


Providing our Team Members with an ample supply of: Personal Protection Equipment, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, masks. shields and single-use gloves.


'We have communicated Pandemic and Emergency plan updates on the Advantage Waste Systems website www.advantagebin.ca and welcome our customers, receivers and suppliers to contact us with their needs by email, text and our website service forms, there has never been a requirement to enter our management offices in the past as Advantage is a completely digital environment, offering client support in a variety of convenient formats.


The Advantage company service digital platform has been in operation since 2005 and services all the needs of our business.


Team Members andAssociates are working from remote locations, Managers are still in office and practice recommended safe social distancing as suggested by the Public Health Agency of Canada.


Team Member who has flu like symptoms are asked to contact the Public Health Agency and follow the COVID-19 testing protocol, including self-isolation where required.


The company and its Management are staying up to date on Public Health Agency of Canada revisions and are following all guidance. Memorandums are communicated to all our members as changes develop.


Advantage Waste Systems has at all times practiced the following everyday precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of germs and viruses we urge all employees to guard their health regularly:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and wipes supplied by the company.

  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick (at home and in public)

  • Do Not attend work when you are sick

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

  • Cover your mouth and nose with your arm when coughing and sneezing

  • Avoid all non-essential travel, (A holiday schedule review has been conducted, there are no employees at Advantage Waste Systems leaving the country or returning from vacation outside of Canada)
